Charles Omenihu works out after serious knee injury

Charles Omenihu was a key part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive line last season after joining the team as a free agent in 2023.

Though a suspension kept him from playing early in the year, Omenihu paired exceptionally well with Chris Jones and George Karlaftis on Kansas City’s front four, and became one of the team’s best pass rushers in big moments.

But a serious knee injury sustained in the AFC Championship Game kept Omenihu from seeing the field in Super Bowl LVIII, a fact that is sure to motivate him next season as the Chiefs endeavor to become the first NFL team to complete a championship three-peat.

Omenihu posted a workout video on Monday that showed off the tremendous progress he has made in his recovery, which may be a sign that he could return to the field sooner than some might expect.
