The Houston Texans began their mandatory minicamp on Tuesday, a day after they went through their annual Media Day exercise.


Mandatory minicamp began today at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

The Texans hit the practice field and are scheduled to do so again tomorrow and Thursday, and then they’re off until mid-July and the start of training camp.

Yesterday, though, the team held it’s annual Media Day. The national TV networks had cameras in the building to record the players for in-game intros. For example, on NBC Sunday Night Football, when the starting lineups are introduced, there’s a small video at the bottom of the screen and the player says his name and the school he attended. On top of recording those yesterday, the NRG Stadium videoboard folks, as well as the content crew here with the Texans took advantage of the time and got some cool stuff accomplished.
