PFF grades for Bears’ projected starting defense in 2024

There are high expectations for the Chicago Bears defense heading into the 2024 season, where they return most of their starters and are looking to build on a strong close to the previous year.

When looking at this defense, they have the potential to have a top linebacker duo (with T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds) and secondary (with Jaylon Johnson, Tyrique Stevenson, Kyler Gordon, Jaquan Brisker and Kevin Byard). While the defensive line is the biggest question mark, it helps that they have a Pro Bowl edge rusher in Montez Sweat and a stout run defender in Andrew Billings. There’s plenty of young talent on this defensive roster that will be key to the unit’s success.

Here are last year’s PFF grades for every member of Chicago’s projected starting defense in 2024.
