The rookie out of Michigan didn’t miss a single kick that I saw during team periods over the three days of minicamp. It wasn’t just the accuracy that was impressive but the strength in his legs as well. There was one 55-yard kick on Thursday he booted right through the center of the uprights and about 10 to 15 yards beyond the crossbar.
It’s going to be fun to see how that competition between him and Michael Badgley works itself out throughout the course of training camp. Badgley was very steady at the end of last year and in the playoffs. There’s comfort in that, but Turner might have some huge upside with a big leg.

For me, Campbell is a top candidate to be the most improved player on the roster of players who were here last year. The kid is all about ball, and I can tell the game has started to slow down for him after his rookie year and an offseason where he could focus solely on football and his body.
The one area where he looks the most improved is in pass defense. Teams completed 80 percent of the passes they targeted Campbell on last season with a couple scores. He had a terrific red zone interception off Goff on Tuesday and finished the week with a couple interceptions.
