The current Cleveland Browns roster is likely the best team the team has had from top to bottom since they returned in 1999. That means they will have tough decisions regarding roster cuts and setting the 53-man roster to begin the season. The Browns offense is evolving, so the personnel may change compared to what Andrew Berry has done in the past couple of seasons.
One area that looks to be changing is how many tight ends the team carries. Only two on the current roster have produced in the NFL, and the options behind them aren’t likely to win a spot. On the other hand, Giovanni Ricci is now listed as a fullback, which the Browns did not carry in 2023.
There are some wildcards at wide receiver, mainly Michael Woods II, who could steal a roster spot or force the team to carry an extra one and make a cut elsewhere. It’s early for a 53-man roster prediction, but here is mine, with training camp just around the corner.
