Falcons Twitter reacts to losing fifth-round pick for tampering

After weeks of anticipation, the NFL finally announced the Atlanta Falcons‘ punishment for tampering violations they committed during free agency. The Falcons were docked a fifth-round pick for tampering with quarterback Kirk Cousins, wide receiver Darnell Mooney and tight end Charlie Woerner.

While nobody likes to lose a draft pick, multiple reporters, including ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, believed the penalty would be more severe. Many speculated that Atlanta could lose a second-round pick for these violations.

Falcons fans were relieved to see the team only lose a fifth-round pick. On the other hand, Vikings fans couldn’t believe Atlanta got off so easily. Here’s how fans on Twitter reacted to the punishment.
