Dolphins 53-man roster projection one month before training camp

Training camp is a month away and thatโ€™s when players currently on the Miami Dolphins will jockey for spots on the 53-man regular season roster. But moves in recent weeks have changed the outlook for how many spots will be realistically available for the taking.

Itโ€™s hard to imagine the two players signed by the Dolphins in June โ€” safety Marcus Maye and defensive lineman Calais Campbell โ€” wonโ€™t secure a place on the roster. Another post-draft addition, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., is also essentially assured a spot.

While thereโ€™s still time for the Dolphins to add more, much of the 53-man roster is seemingly etched in pen instead of pencil. Hereโ€™s an updated projection of where the roster stands with training camp about a month away:
