Home is where the heart is.
That was the message from four-star running back Alvin Henderson Friday following his commitment announcement to Auburn. Henderson, who flipped his pledge from Penn State to Auburn, told 247Sports that he felt Auburn was home “from the beginning.”
It helped matters that head coach Hugh Freeze continued his pursuit of Henderson even though he was committed to another program.
“Coach Freeze just hits me up on the daily, calling me, texting me,” Henderson said in an interview with Rivals. “It doesn’t matter if I’m calling him, it doesn’t matter what he’s doing, he’s gonna automatically pick up.”
