Colorado’s ratings in EA Sports College Football 25 spark chaos

EA Sports is highly impressed with Colorado football’s additions this offseason, as evidenced by the Buffs’ offensive and defensive ratings in College Football 25.

On Thursday, EA released its top 25 offensive and defensive ratings in the upcoming video game, and Colorado was ranked No. 8 on offense and No. 20 on defense.

The Buffs earned an 89 overall on offense, tying them with the LSU Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes, Miami Hurricanes and Missouri Tigers. The Georgia Bulldogs and Oregon Ducks tied for the top offense with a 94 rating. While we haven’t seen individual ratings yet, CU quarterback Shedeur Sanders and wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter are sure to be two of the highest-rated players in the game.

Colorado received an 84 overall on defense, tying the Buffs with six other teams. Ohio State got the top mark on defense with a 96 rating. CU’s defense was leaky in the run game last year, but head coach Deion Sanders has added some big bodies on the line and two solid corners in Preston Hodge and DJ McKinney to complement Hunter. EA Sports seems to believe in the talent Colorado added on both lines and at the skill positions, which should make the Buffs a strong team in College Football 25.

Here’s what social media had to say about EA Sports’ ratings for Colorado:

EA Sports did its homework

Colorado should be good on both sides of the ball

Deion Sanders Jr. approves

Colorado should be a top 25 team in the game

Buffs are going to be exciting on offense

Oregon Ducks fans don’t believe in their former Pac-12 rivals
