Wisconsin Badgers top remaining class of 2025 recruiting targets

The Wisconsin Badgers appear to have finally run out of momentum on the class of 2025 recruiting trail.

Just in the last few days, the program has seen four-star cornerback Rukeem Stroud flip his commitment to UCF, plus top targets three-star CB Tre Poteat and four-star outside linebacker Jayden Woods commit to Tennessee and Penn State respectively.

The Badgers’ class still ranks within the nation’s top 15, now with 21 total commitments after landing five-star specialist Erik Schmidt. That ranking is thanks in large part to the program’s work during the first three weeks of June. It added nine commitments to the class in that time, including some from its top targets in the class (offensive tackle Logan Powell, OT Logan DavenportCB Jahmare Washingtontight end Nizyi Davis, defensive lineman Torin Pettaway, DL Mason Posa, wide receiver Eugene Hilton Jr., DL Wilnerson Telemaque and edge Nicolas Clayton).

But the recent string of recruiting losses has lowered the temperature surrounding the class. The group does rank favorably in 247Sports’ national rankings, but its blue-chip ratio is only 23.8% and it lacks some of the top-end recruits that the program was able to add during the 2024 cycle.

Wisconsin needs another marquee addition or two in order to maintain a spot in the top 15 and finish the 2025 cycle on a high note. Entering the final days of June and the start of July, here are the program’s top remaining targets in the class:

Four-star iOL Hardy Watts

  • Finalists: Wisconsin, Clemson, Michigan
  • Crystal Ball: Michigan (high confidence)
  • Commitment Date: July 1, 2024
  • Recruiting Profile: 6 feet, 6 inches, 290 pounds, from Brookline, Massachusetts, 247Sports’ No. 12 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2025, No. 1 player from the state of Massachusetts, No. 218 overall in the class
