Expectations are high for the offense with highly capable rookie QB Caleb Williams running the show this year, with several of his compatriots projected to have productive 2024 campaigns. Headline-grabbing stars such as Keenan Allen, DJ Moore and D’Andre Swift will have ample opportunity to keep the ball moving, and their presence on game days will draw attention away from their teammates, giving them a chance to make plays. The ever-reliable Kmet will flourish in a supporting role on the offense, giving his untested QB a safety blanket to rely on through the air and aiding an inconsistent run game while blocking.

Kmet had a career year in 2023, producing 73 catches for 719 yards and six touchdowns. Kmet was touted as Chicago’s second true receiving threat behind Moore, as the rest of the receiving corps proved to be inconsistent. With the Bears’ offseason additions of key offensive players, Kmet will be benefitted by less defensive focus, allowing him to get much more favorable matchups in the pass game. The veteran TE did a substantial amount of damage last year while assuming the role of WR2; with Moore, Allen, and explosive rookie Rome Odunze giving defenders migraines trying to keep up with them, Kmet not only may break the career highs he set in 2023, but he could be a stone’s throw away from eclipsing 1000 yards receiving in 2024.
