The Packers have moved Morgan up and down the offensive line during OTAs and minicamp, with him playing every position except for center. In part, the Packers believe in cross-training their offensive linemen and covet versatility. But in addition to that, there is a feeling out process taking place with the Packers trying to learn where Morgan could fit best among their “best five.” This has, however, put added stress on Morgan, who is not only making the jump from college to the NFL, but has to play both guard and tackle as well as both sides of the line. The sooner the Packers can have him working out of one specific position, the better for him, and once that happens, there will be clarity around who the Packers’ preferred five are. But we might not get to that point until some training camp practices take place with the pads on because it’s only at that point that offensive line play can truly be evaluated. — Paul Bretl
