Having a trio of 23-year old starting offensive linemen is a huge risk, but when a third-year vet who has already made All-Pro is included (Tyler Smith) one has to like their chances.
Unfortunately, it is true that the only one who has already proven himself is Smith; there’s no one else even close to being considered blue-chip at the moment.
Identifying Overshown, Mazi Smith and Kneeland along the defensive front seven is wise, as that is going to be the key to the Cowboys’ sustaining recent success. They are going to have to get stellar performances from these youngsters in order to not fall back some on defense.
Mazi Smith is included based on draft pedigree and not performance.
