The month of July is now here, which means we are finally entering the preseason for college football. While media days are still a couple of weeks away, players across the nation are flocking back to campus and starting to ramp things up, getting prepared for fall camp to begin.
It will be a historic season of college football across the nation, with conference realignment and an expanded College Football Playoff shaking up the landscape. It will also be a different season for the Oregon Ducks, who enter the Big Ten Conference for the first time starting on August 1. To help forecast what Dan Lanning and his team will see this year, and preview the opponents on Oregon’s schedule and beyond, we’re going to go through all of the members of the conference and detail everything Duck fans need to know.

I’m excited for the Maryland Terrapins season.
Last year, after the news that the Oregon Ducks would be joining the Big Ten was announced, it feels like all Ducks fans started to pay more attention to the Big Ten and followed the teams’ seasons. Maryland became one of my favorite teams to follow because they aren’t a historically prolific program that has been overachieving in recent years.
The season ahead of the Terrapins will be a trying one. They are without Taulia Tagovailoa — their former quarterback — for the first time in a few years. A lot will rest on with MJ Morris or Billy Edwards, the QBs set to be their new starter, since so much in football relies on the play of the quarterback.
Since Maryland has had strong years to begin the decade, another superb season could do wonders for their programs. Success brings recruits, and sustained success breeds long-term…
