Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is beyond impressive heading into head coach Mike Elko’s inaugural 2024 season. Former head coach Jimbo Fisher’s success on the recruiting trail defined his tenure, but in only seven months on the job, Elko and his staff practically matched his predecessor’s production.
With 18 commitments so far, this week has been the busiest of the offseason. Four-star linebacker Noah Mikhail committed on Sunday, followed by back-to-back commitments from three-star defensive lineman Chace Sims and four-star edge/linebacker Marco Jones on Tuesday afternoon as the Aggies’ recruiting team ranking continued to rise.
While the Aggies’ success on the recruiting trail is unsurprising based on history alone, 12 other Texas programs, including SMU, TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech, have also risen in the rankings. However, the Texas Longhorns, who are predicted to return to the College Football Playoffs this coming season, have some work to do to get back within the Top 10.
Within 247Sport’s 2025 team rankings, here is where every Texas program ranks ahead of the 2024 season.
