Whether it’s a coincidence or not, the top teams in the Big Ten just happen to have very good tight ends ready to go in 2024. A lot of players at the position have moved on to the NFL as the conference was loaded in 2023 and the quicker teams are able to replace elite talent with elite talent the better they’ll be this season.
The only exception may be Ohio State as the Buckeyes are so good everywhere else that they can afford to rebuild at the tight end spot. But teams such as Oregon, Michigan and Penn State will have a weapon that is already defined while the others are hoping the player they put in there can produce.
Here are the best tight ends the Big Ten has to offer for the 2024 season.
