Tim Lester's thoughts on Iowa football as training camp approaches

All eyes this fall are going to be on Tim Lester and what his new scheme brings to the Iowa Hawkeyes. Like it or not, offensive improvement is a must for Iowa, and as the new offensive coordinator his being the center of attention is unavoidable.

Luckily, Lester has head coaching experience at Western Michigan and knows what it is like to be in the thick of it. He is prepared to face the music or hear the praises depending on how the offense looks.

The ask isn’t much, though. The Hawkeyes were ranked 130th in total offense last year. It is nearly impossible for Lester to continue that trajectory, and the standards for improvement are well within his reach.

With the Hawkeyes rapidly nearing training camp and the 2024 season, here are some of Lester’s thoughts about the offense and where things stand as kickoff nears.
