The season is close, and with that many outlets are rankings players and coaches as well.
The Big Ten has drastically changed with the addition of new teams, which means there is new blood among the coaching ranks. With that, CBS Sports has ranked each of the team’s head coaches.
Obviously some of the names will be familiar, but with the new blood there is some shakeup at the top of the list. Check out below where CBS ranked Ohio State’s Ryan Day each of the other Big Ten’s head coaches, starting from the bottom.
The former Bruins running back takes over the program after Chip Kelly left for Ohio State. It’s his first season as a head coach.

Walters is entering his second season with the Boilermakers, after going 4-8 in his first season.

Entering his second season with the Wildcats, Braun went a surprising 8-5 in his first season.

The Wolverines head coach is entering his first season after Jim Harbaugh left for the NFL.

Cignetti is entering his first season with the Hoosiers after going 119-35 with IUP, Elon, and James Madison.

Locksley has been with the Terrapins for what will be his sixth season, going 28-33 in his second stint as their head coach. His overall record is 31-59.

Also in his second stint, Schiano has gone 19-28 since 2020. His overall record with the Scarlet Knights is 87-95.
