Projecting starting offense as training camp opens

Despite some springtime intrigue, this unit seems pretty set heading into training camp. Pipkins took the lion’s share of the first team reps at right guard during OTAs, likely locking 2023 starter Jamaree Salyer out of a starting job entering 2024. Slater, Johnson, and Pipkins were all starters a season ago, which should ease the effects of learning a new offense.

Bozeman replaces the retired Corey Linsley and departed Will Clapp, who took most of the reps in the middle a season ago after Linsley was placed on the non-football injury list with a heart condition. Yet another former Raven, Bozeman is more of a stopgap than a long-term solution at center, but he should be serviceable in year one of Roman’s offense.

On the right side, Pipkins slides over to make room for no. 5 overall pick Joe Alt, who will start at right tackle immediately. That leaves Salyer as a super-sub who can play four of the five spots on the line if anyone goes down with injury.
