Another day, another Michigan Panthers player to the NFL. OL Chim Okorafor is signing with the Cleveland Browns, according to Panthers Shadow.

Okorafor had his UFL contract terminated yesterday, and now appears to be on his way back to an NFL camp. Chim, similar to Nehemiah Shelton in Memphis, was a USFL College Draft pick back in 2023. He didn’t sign with Michigan that year, having spent some time in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings.

Ahead of the UFL’s 2024 season, Chim Okorafor ended up signing with the Michigan Panthers. He didn’t make any appearances until week four, but once he got on the field, he didn’t leave. Okorafor worked his way to a starting role, serving as a starting left tackle for Michigan during the final three games of the year.

Chim contributed to one of the top rushing offenses in the UFL this year. Both Wes Hills and Matt Colburn had impressively successful seasons, which wouldn’t have been possible without the quality O-Line play in Michigan. Okorafor, with his past NFL experience, will now have an opportunity to prove himself in Training Camp with the Cleveland Browns.

Final Thoughts

The Browns have taken looks at multiple UFL O-Linemen, including fellow Panthers teammate Jake Burton.
