The Kansas City Chiefs have a host of exciting young talent taking their first snaps in the NFL at training camp, and as practices become more intense in St. Joseph over the next few weeks, a few players will start to separate themselves from their competition.
One rookie who could earn playing time in 2024 with an outstanding performance in camp is tight end Jared Wiley, a fourth-round selection from TCU. His outstanding size and surprising quickness should help Wiley compete for a second or third-string spot behind Travis Kelce on Kansas City’s depth chart.
On Tuesday, the Chiefs tweeted a video of Wiley catching a pass from Patrick Mahomes, which got fans in Kansas City talking about the rookie’s future.
Though Wiley won’t push Kelce for a starting spot in his first season with the Chiefs, hype is building for his rookie campaign.
