The Dallas Cowboys officially placed Trevon Diggs on PUP on Thursday, ahead of the first practice of the 2024 season. Training camp is underway in Oxnard, CA, with the first on-field work scheduled to more resemble OTA activity from May and June, with seven on seven drills. Head coach Mike McCarthy announced during the opening training camp presser that there would be no team drills on Thursday.
He was also asked to follow up on some injury news, after the team announced that only cornerback Trevon Diggs, recovering from a early-season ACL injury last season, would be placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list. For a full explainer of the PUP rules, fans can read more here.
Any concerns about quarterback Dak Prescott and his walking boot can be put to rest as he was not mentioned with the other players who were nursing things. Here’s a look at the other players of note who have been dealing with injuries but have been cleared to start camp.

It was revealed during OTAs that the rookie defensive tackle had offseason shoulder surgery, stunting his ability to prepare for the season.

Schoonmaker has been a walking injury bug since being drafted, missing crucial camp time last year with a walking boot and time earlier this offseason with shoulder surgery.
TE John Stephens, JR. (knee)
Stephens was as impressive as Overshown was in 2023’s camp, considering his undrafted status, but was also lost to a torn ACL towards the end of the preseason schedule.
