The Seattle Seahawks are continuing their trend of plucking talented players from the UFL. This time around, DC Defenders star WR Ty Scott is signing with the Seahawks, a league source tells Pro Football Newsroom.

Ty Scott is a tremendous UFL story. Scott began his UFL journey by being drafted in the 2023 XFL Rookie Draft by the Defenders, eventually signing with DC after a stint with the Kansas City Chiefs. Scott was not viewed by many outside of DC as a lock to make the Defenders roster, due to a lackluster resume, but he changed minds quickly with his performance on the field.

This season, Scott certainly overperformed expectations, finishing with 418 receiving yards (1st on DC) along with three touchdowns (T-1st on DC). His explosiveness was continuously on display, and his yards per catch showed it with 16.7 YPC in 2024.

Even with his lack of snaps during the few first weeks of action, Ty still led the Defenders in almost every receiving category.
Final Thoughts
As we continue to see the UFL to NFL pipeline grow, Ty Scott is further proof that spring football works. Scott will join WR Marcus Simms (Michigan) and RB Ricky Person Jr. (Birmingham) as UFL players to take part in Seattle training camp this summer.
