It was only a matter of time before Nate Brooks made his way back to the NFL. The Michigan Panthers standout DB – who earned All-UFL honors in 2024 – is signing with the Cincinnati Bengals, per multiple reports.

Nate Brooks is no stranger to the NFL, having spent time with a few different teams coming out of college. Brooks has posted 11 tackles throughout his NFL career.
In 2023, Nate played for the USFL’s Birmingham Stallions. He was fantastic that year, with 43 tackles, nine PBU’s, and two interceptions as Birmingham won their second straight Championship. This led to an NFL opportunity with the 49ers, as Nate spent Training Camp and preseason with the team.

Interestingly enough, Birmingham re-signed Nate – but then opted to leave him unprotected during the USFL-XFL merger process. This led to Brooks getting scooped up by the Michigan Panthers, and becoming a start in Collin Bauer’s defense.
Nate was a key piece to what was an excellent defensive unit in Michigan. He started in every game this year, totaling 36 tackles, an interception, and four PBU’s. Brooks was named to the All-UFL Defensive Team, and made an impact in the postseason despite the team’s loss to the Stallions.
