Nebraska head football coach Matt Rhule made a high-profile media appearance earlier in the week. Rhule was a guest on ESPN‘s The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday.
While talking with the former Colts punter, Rhule discussed recruiting in the modern age, freshman quarterback Dylan Raiola, and what the future of college football will look like.
The Husker head also talked about his track record of success and why the pressure feels different at Nebraska over his previous stops.
If football gets itself together, we could be a power because we’ve been a powerhouse. I went to Temple, and I loved it. I was trying to do something that hadn’t been done. I went to Baylor, and (Art) Briles had a lot of success there, but I was still trying to do get it to a place it had never been. I walk by five Nattys (National Championship Trophies) every day.
Nebraska will kick off the 2024 college football season on Saturday, August 31, when the Huskers host UTEP at Memorial Stadium. The game will start at 2:30 p.m. and can be seen on Fox.
