The Cleveland Browns have made another roster move as they return to Berea to continue training camp. On Sunday, the team signed safety Faion Hicks while also waiving safety Dyshawn Gales.
Injured center Brian Allen was also released.
Hicks played his college ball at Wisconsin and was originally a seventh-round pick by the Denver Broncos in the 2022 NFL draft. He spent time on the Broncos practice squad his first season before being on the New Orleans Saints practice squad last season. Hicks checks in at 5-foot-10 and 192 pounds and is a decent athlete scoring a 7.8 on the relative athletic score scale.

This is just another tryout player who will have a real uphill battle to make the 53-man roster, given the talent in the secondary at both corner and safety. Expect Hicks to get a decent amount of snaps in this week’s preseason game as the team gives him a true shot to show what he can bring to the table.
