The Los Angeles Rams have picked up two offensive linemen from the UFL. Both Matt Kaskey (Birmingham Stallions) and Alec Lindstrom (Memphis Showboats) are headed to LA for the remainder of Training Camp – in an effort to make another NFL roster.

Matt Kaskey | Birmingham Stallions
Kaskey is a spring football veteran at this point. He joined the Stallions in the USFL for the 2023 season, winning a Championship with them that year. Kaskey started in eight of nine games played, making an impact during their title run. This led to a quick NFL stint with the Chargers, but Kaskey ultimately returned to Birmingham later that year.
During the merger, it wasn’t exactly clear which championship pieces would stick around. While some were released/cut during Training Camp, Matt Kaskey proved his worth to Birmingham once again – making the regular season roster. Matt ended up starting in six of 12 games played with the Stallions; starting in both postseason games en route to another Championship victory.

His PFF grades were some of the best in the UFL this year, with a 69.9 run blocking grade, and a 71.4 pass blocking grade. Kaskey played relatively clean as well, with just three penalties on 489 snaps. Matt’s proven himself to be quite valuable in the pro scene with Birmingham, and now will have another opportunity to prove himself in the NFL.
