On the opening drive, Stroud connected with rookie tight end and former Ohio State teammate Cade Stover for a pickup of seven yards, but fired long to Schultz up the right sideline on third down.
After the touchdown strike, Stroud’s night was complete. He completed 2-of-4 passes for 41 yards, and gave way to backup quarterback Davis Mills.
