Social media reactions to Will Shipley’s first touchdown and NFL debut

Once again, we’ve made it. The long wait for football is over.

While it isn’t the best football imaginable, as the preseason is more for opportunities and fighting for your job rather than watching your team’s top players take the field for a battle, it’s football, and we still love that. These games are excellent opportunities for players looking to make a name for themselves or prove themselves as they do whatever it takes for a roster spot and playing time.

The preseason is also an excellent time to see what NFL rookies can do, with former Clemson star running back Will Shipley being one of those guys who went out there and showcased his skillset. In the Eagles’ 16-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens, Shipley took seven carries for a solid 23 yards, but impressed in an area where he is expected to shine. He scored his first career NFL touchdown on a  7-yard pass from quarterback Kenny Pickett late in the first quarter.
