Best and worst performers vs. Commanders

Best and worst performers vs. Commanders

The Miami Dolphins moved to 2-0 this preseason with a 13-6 win against the Washington Commanders on Saturday night. While many of the team’s starters, including Tua Tagovailoa, were back in the lineup — if only for a limited time — there were still plenty of players who only watched from the sideline.

The list of 21 players out of action included some obvious ones like Odell Beckham Jr. and Bradley Chubb who are still on the PUP list, but it also included Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, among others.

While that still left plenty of players to rotate through Saturday, it also made for some awkward situations. When running back Chris Brooks went down with an injury early in the third quarter, the Dolphins were forced to turn to undrafted receiver Je’Quan Burton to take over in the backfield rather than put Raheem Mostert or De’Von Achane back in the game.

So who stood out most in the somewhat sloppy exhibition contest? Here’s what Pro Football Focus thought of the performances of Dolphins players on Saturday night:
