ACC Football Preseason Watch List Honorees


CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – With the 2024 football season set to kick off this week, below is a full list of Atlantic Coast Conference football players named to national preseason watch lists for 2024.
 
The ACC claimed 219 spots on the national preseason watch lists, with 129 different players across all 17 teams garnering preseason recognition.
 
Florida State and Georgia Tech will kick off the 2024 college football season at the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Week 0 on Saturday, Aug. 24, at noon ET in Dublin, Ireland. ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will broadcast live for the first time from Dublin, Ireland, marking the first time that the show will be outside of the United States.

New member SMU will also be one of eight teams playing in Week 0, as the Mustangs will take on Nevada on Aug. 24 at 8 p.m. ET in Reno, Nevada.

 

All 17 teams will be in action over Labor Day weekend, Aug. 29-Sept. 2, with 16 games spanning four days – Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday. Boston College and Florida State will cap off Week 1 of the 2024 college football season with a Labor Day showdown in ACC play on Monday, Sept. 2, at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.

 

The 2024 ACC Football Championship Game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on ABC on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. For the second consecutive season, the championship game will feature the top two teams based on regular-season conference winning percentage. This is the 15th time in the last 16 years that the game will be held in primetime.
