It’s overdue, but Frank Ginda is back in the NFL. The Los Angeles Chargers are signing the Michigan Panthers standout linebacker, who makes his way back to the NFL after another successful season in spring football.

Ginda spent most of the past three seasons with the Michigan Panthers, earning USFL Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2023.

When it comes to spring football, Ginda is one of the top linebackers in the scene. He has been with a plethora of different teams, including organizations in the AAF, XFL, and USFL.
Most recently, Frank played with the Michigan Panthers in the USFL. In 2022, he was excellent, posting 90 total tackles and a sack.
Ginda took his game to an even higher level in 2023. Frank won Defensive Player of the Week four times – a modern USFL record. In addition, he ended up earning USFL Defensive Player of the Year honors, after registering:

This led to a practice squad stint with the Atlanta Falcons. Frank performed well in the preseason, was brought back by Atlanta during the NFL’s season.
In 2024, Ginda returned to the Panthers. He was consistent once again, but unfortunately wasn’t able to finish the season out due to an injury.
