With all of the UFL players who have signed with NFL teams, we’ve seen quite a few make a legitimate impact in the preseason so far. Last week, there were several names that impressed across the board.
Week two in the NFL was no different, with UFL legends making a fantastic case for themselves to make the official roster this season. On the other hand, there were a couple who didn’t quite live up to expectations.
Let’s take a look at what all went down in the NFL in week two of the preseason.
Quarterbacks
QB Adrian Martinez, Jets: The UFL’s MVP saw some playing time with the Jets once again this week. He never got into much of a rhythm this time around, with a 7/17 stat-line. Martinez also threw an interception, ultimately tossing for 67 yards on the day.

QB Luis Perez, Chargers: Perez was brought to Los Angeles late last week, and looked solid in his first action. The spring football veteran had another decent performance against the Rams, completing 13 of his 20 passes for 78 yards. He’s making a case to make the roster, having impressed the staff in LA so far. Perez is fresh off arguably his best year in spring football, tearing it up with the Renegades in the UFL.
Offensive Skill Positions
There were several offensive players from the UFL who saw some action this week. Brandon Smith, former WR for the DC Defenders, caught two passes for 11 yards with the Jets. Kelvin Harmon, another Defender, has been playing quite well with the Cowboys. He had two receptions for 18 yards this weekend.
TE Sal Cannella didn’t receive any targets with the Buccaneers a week ago, but the former Renegade caught two passes for 16 yards on Sunday. Former Panthers RB Nate McCrary recorded three carries for 11 yards with the Packers, while Kevin Austin Jr. had one…
