Six Scarlet Knights Named to 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl Watch List


PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Six from Rutgers football were named to the 2025 Reese’s Senior Bowl watch list released Wednesday. DB Desmond Igbinosun, DB Robert Longerbeam, WR Dymere Miller, RB Kyle Monangai, LB Tyreem Powell and LB Mohamed Toure all claimed a spot on the list, which includes top draft-eligible players from across the country.

The Scarlet Knights currently have 23 alumni on active NFL rosters, with head coach Greg Schiano sending 104 overall to the NFL during his tenure.

The Reese’s Senior Bowl is the nation’s most prestigious college all-star game, as it annually serves as the first step of the NFL Draft process. It is scheduled for Feb. 1, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama. Seventeen Scarlet Knights have been selected in the past, including Max Melton (2024), Adam Korsak (2023), Bo Melton (2022), Kemoko Turay (2018), Leonte Carroo (2016), Khaseem Greene (2013), Steve Beauharnais (2013), Joe Lefeged (2011), Devin McCourty (2010), Clark Harris (2007), Brian Leonard (2007), L.J. Smith (2003), Mike McMahon (2001), Robert Barr (1996), Bruce Presley (1996), Steve Simms (1962) and Alex Kroll (1962).

DESMOND IGBINOSUN

Igbinosun enters 2024 with 30 games of experience, including 21 starts over the past two seasons. The defensive back totaled 64 tackles in 2023 with at least four stops in nine games. The Union, New Jersey, native set an RU Big Ten game record with four tackles-for-loss to go with a fumble recovery in the comeback win over Michigan State.

ROBERT LONGERBEAM

Longerbeam, a team captain, was one of two players in the Big Ten with double-digit pass breakups in 2023, ranking fourth in the league with 0.85 passes defended per game (10 breakups, one interception). That included three passes deflected in the win at Indiana and two fumbles forced in the comeback over Michigan State. The defensive back from Alexandria, Virginia, additionally had a pick versus Northwestern, a sack against Virginia Tech, pounced on a muffed punt at Indiana and totaled 43 tackles in 13 starts. He was voted honorable mention All-Big Ten by the media and is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.

DYMERE MILLER

Miller enters his first season with the Scarlet Knights after playing in 34 games for Monmouth the past four years. He was named All-America (first team) by multiple outlets in 2023 after leading the FCS with 1,293 receiving yards and 117.5 receiving yards per game, also placing second with 90 receptions.
