USC football could kick off at 9 a.m. local time against Penn State

On Oct. 12, UCLA hosts Minnesota. We mention this because Minnesota at UCLA sure looks like one of those late-night kickoffs on Big Ten Network, at either 10:30 p.m. Eastern or 11 p.m. Eastern. Would Fox want to compete against a Big Ten Network game, or would Fox be fine with having two late-night games? It’s doubtful that USC-Penn State would be a late kickoff, but then again, Fox could say that with the Ohio State-Oregon NBC audience looking for another game, having USC-Penn State at 11 Eastern, 8 Pacific, might actually be a good fit for this one weekend.
