Welch isn’t the only true freshman people are excited about. Brandon Hood has joined his brother, Colton, and his cousin, Trenton, on the Buffs’ roster. Brandon is a three-star signee out of McDonough, Georgia, who’s listed at 5-foot-11,185 pounds and has game-breaking speed.
CU’s running back room is rounded out by walk-ons Christian Sarem and Titus Batista. Sarem is the biggest back on the roster at 210 pounds and got carries during the spring game. Batista is a 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Chicago, Illinois.
The final player to watch is Isaiah Hardge. The newest member of the gray jersey club has lined up at RB, cornerback and wide receiver in camp and has shown that he can impact the game with his speed.
