Caddix was founded in 2023, and their cleat technology aims to reduce the chance of injury without compromising style or functionality. The cleats feature SmartStuds, which allows each stud to flex and reduce the rotational load that is often responsible for non-contact injuries.
“As a professional athlete who has faced non-contact injuries throughout my NFL career, I truly appreciate the groundbreaking technology and benefits that Caddix cleats offer,” Pitta stated. “By prioritizing innovation, safety and performance, Caddix is revolutionizing sports equipment, setting a new standard for player protection and performance enhancement.
“Their commitment to research-driven science and uncompromising testing have raised the bar for player safety without compromising on-field performance. Caddix is reshaping the game and redefining what it means to compete at the highest level, and I am honored to join the revolution.”
After strong playing careers, the two former Ravens aren’t done in the sports world.
“Having Todd and Dennis onboard has been invaluable,” said Caddix founder Jack Rasmassen, a Baltimore native who was also a college football punter. “We are thrilled to welcome individuals whose vision and work ethic harmonize with ours. Their remarkable backgrounds made them the obvious choice. Their firsthand knowledge and experience with injuries and their commitment to helping others make them ideal additions to the Caddix team.”
