Indianapolis Colts safety Ronnie Harrison Jr. (48) catches the ball during training camp Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Grand Park Sports Complex in Westfield.
Given the uncertainty at the safety position, it felt like Ronnie Harrison would make the team to at least provide some additional depth at strong safety, not to mention his ability to play linebacker if needed as well. But instead, the Colts decided to move on and release him. Harrison did not get signed back to the practice squad either and remains unsigned. Now if the Colts are in a pinch at strong safety, they’ll likely have to move Nick Cross to that position and have Rodney Thomas take over at free safety.
