Every former Penn State player on an NFL roster entering 2024 season

NFL roster cut down day was earlier this week as squads across the league slimmed their rosters to the required total of 53 players.

Among the former Nittany Lions not making a initial roster include: QB Sean Clifford (Packers), QB Trace McSorley (Commanders), WR KJ Hamler (Bills), WR Allen Robinson (Giants), LB Curtis Jacobs (Chiefs), DB Kalen King (Packers), DB Daquan Hardy (Bills) and DB Adrian Amos (Jaguars) among others.

Despite the long list of cuts Penn State continues to produce elite level NFL talent and that shows in the 34 former players to make an NFL team. As we inch close to kickoff of the 2024 NFL season, here is every former Penn State Nittany Lion on a 53-man roster:

RB Saquon Barkley (Philadelphia Eagles)

Years at Penn State: 2015-2017

NFL Season: 7th (1st with Philadelphia)

Notes: Signed a three year contract with the Eagles this offseason after six season in New York. Two-time Pro Bowler and 2018 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Will be part of a talented Eagles offense in 2024.

LB Micah Parsons (Dallas Cowboys)

Years at Penn State: 2018-2020

NFL Season: 4th

Notes: Tallied a career high in sacks last season with 14. 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, two-time first-team All-Pro (2021, 2022), three-time Pro Bowler. Enters 2024 as one of the elite edge rushers in the NFL and part of a Cowboys defense expected to be one of the best.

WR Chris Godwin (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Years at Penn State: 2014-2016

NFL Season: 8th

Notes: Super Bowl LV champion, second-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler in 2019. Has four seasons of 1,000 or more yards and has eclipsed 80 catches in each of the last three seasons. Enters 2024 as Baker Mayfield’s No. 2 option in Tampa Bay.
