COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Each week during the 2024-25 season a Maryland student-athlete, who has shown excellence on and off the playing field, will be selected as the Solomon Eye Physicians & Surgeons Terp of the Week.
This week’s Terp of the Week is Tai Felton from football.
Felton hauled in a career-high-tying seven receptions for a career-high 178 receiving yards in Maryland’s 50-7 season-opening win against UConn. It was the most receiving yards in a game for a Terp since DJ Moore had 210 against Northwestern in 2017. The 178 receiving yards ranks 14th all-time at Maryland in a single game.
Felton hauled in touchdown receptions of 18 and 75 yards in the win. It was his second multi-touchdown game of his career (had 3 TDs in a win over Indiana in 2023). It was also Felton’s third 100-yard receiving game of his career and his nine career receiving touchdowns move him into the Top 20 all-time at Maryland.
