A class of 2025 quarterback had a career night last Friday. TJ Lateef threw five touchdowns, helping Orange Lutheran defeat Rancho Cucamonga 45-14 in week two of the California high school football season.
Lateef finished 19-of-22 passing for 263 yards with five touchdowns. The quarterback was named the offensive player of the game for his performance.
In ten games last season, he threw for 1,965 yards with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions as the quarterback at Luthern High School out of Orange, California. As a sophomore, he threw for 2,446 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 11 games.
Lateef committed to the Cornhuskers on May 13. The class of 2025 has 18 commits, and Lateef is the only quarterback currently committed.
The quarterback is expected to make his first trip to Memorial Stadium for the Colorado game this weekend. Lateef is one of 25 visitors who will make a trip to the Lincoln campus.
