Penn State’s home opener in Beaver Stadium is always cause for celebration for Penn State fans. And, usually, having a win to reflect on is a welcome sight. But there was a whole lot of exhaling in relief following Penn State’s 34-27 victory over Bowling Green on Saturday. The Nittany Lions had to come from behind after trailing at halftime to Bowling Green despite being a massive favorite. But a win is a win, right?
Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen each rushed for over 100 yards in the game, and tight end Tyler Warren stuffed the box score with 146 yards and some monster gains to help fuel the offense to a second-half comeback. And to their credit, the defense played much better in the second half after having no answers for the Bowling Green offense at the start of the game.

Penn State will be off next week. The Nittany Lions return to action on Saturday, Sept. 21 with a home game against Kent State.
