In today’s second matchup between U-M and Texas, the Wolverines fell to 0-2 all time with the Longhorns.• Today’s honorary captain was MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter, five-time World Series Champion and 14-time MLB All-Star. Jeter attended U-M in the fall of 1992 before embarking on his career in professional baseball.

• Today’s loss ends U-M’s streak of 28 consecutive regular season wins (dating to 2021). The 28 wins tied a new record for the Big Ten Conference (previously shared by 1901-03 Michigan, 2005-07 Ohio State).

• Today’s loss ends U-M’s streak of 23 consecutive wins at Michigan Stadium (dating to 2021). The streak now sits as the third-longest in program history. Only Georgia (25 straight entering Week 2) has a longer active streak.

• Running back Jordan Marshall saw his first collegiate game action in today’s contest.

• Wide receiver Kendrick Bell made his first career start in today’s game. Fellow receiver C.J. Charleston also started, marking his first start at Michigan; he started 23 games at Youngstown State.
