Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals looks like a toss-up on paper with both teams sitting at 0-1. The oddsmakers aren’t sure what to make of this NFC West tilt, flipping the spread from Rams -1.5 to Rams +1 in a span of four days.
Injuries are obviously going to be a factor this weekend with Los Angeles missing several key starters, but that isn’t stopping experts from taking Sean McVay’s squad. According to Tallysight, 71% of experts are picking the Rams to win outright on Sunday. Even more are taking them to cover the spread, with 72% taking LA and the points.
That’s a pretty large discrepancy between those picking the Rams and those taking the Cardinals, showing that even as banged up as the Rams are, they’re still viewed as the better team.
Perhaps it’s the fact that Matthew Stafford and Cooper Kupp are back to their 2021 form. Or maybe it’s that the Rams have won 13 of their last 15 against the Cardinals, winning every game in Arizona since 2015.
When healthy, the Rams have advantages at several spots, but the offensive line could be a major problem again on Sunday, just as it was in the opener against the Lions.
