Playing in his first Rocky Mountain Showdown, Colorado football wide receiver LaJohntay Wester scored a pair of touchdowns in the Buffs’ impressive second quarter performance against Colorado State.
The former Florida Atlantic standout got Colorado on the board midway through the second quarter when he connected with quarterback Shedeur Sanders on a four-yard touchdown. Only about five minutes later, Wester broke loose again for a 34-yard score, giving the Buffs a commanding 14-3 lead over CSU.
Wester’s strong second quarter comes one week after he hauled in Colorado’s lone touchdown against the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
