What Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola and Carter Nelson said after UNI win

Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola and wide receiver Carter Nelson met with the media following the team’s 34-3 victory over Northern Iowa.

Raiola finished the game 17-of-23 for 247 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Nelson led the Huskers in catches with four receptions for 48 yards and one touchdown, the first of his career.

The Raiola to Nelson touchdown was the first touchdown between two Husker freshmen since Adrian Martinez threw a 28-yard TD pass to Maurice Washington at Iowa in 2018. The Huskers now improve to 3-0 in nonconference play, the first time Nebraska has reached that record since 2016.

The team will now prepare for the Big Ten opener on Friday night when Illinois visits Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT and can be seen on Fox.
