The Oregon Ducks finally looked like the Oregon Ducks on Saturday.
In a 49-14 blowout over the Oregon State Beavers in the 128th Civil War, Oregon’s offense was firing on all cylinders, which allowed a comfortable win to turn into a blowout in the second half. More than that, it allowed us to finally see some of the depth on this team and get a feel for the young players on the roster.
This means that our deep dive into the snap counts for the game may finally reveal something, for a change.
As we do after most early season games, let’s dive into the usage rate from Pro Football Focus and look at the snaps that each player saw for the Ducks, and see if they can tell us any overarching things about where this team is, and what their roster looks like beyond the starters. Here we go.
