It won’t be easy for the Los Angeles Rams to climb out of their winless hole this week when they host the San Francisco 49ers at SoFi Stadium. Though the 49ers are also coming off a loss, they’ve had the Rams’ number in recent years and are the healthier team despite being without Christian McCaffrey.
Unsurprisingly, the Rams opened as big underdogs to the 49ers in Week 3. According to odds from BetMGM, the Rams are 7.5-point home underdogs. As of now, it’s tied with the Bengals-Commanders spread for the largest of any game in Week 3.
Moneyline (ML)
- 49ers -375 (bet $375 to win $100)
- Rams +300 (bet $100 to win $300)
Against the spread (ATS)
- 49ers -7.5 (-110)
- Rams +7.5 (-110)
Over/Under (O/U)
The oddsmakers see the Rams as a worse team than the Vikings, who pulled off the upset at home against the 49ers as 4.5-point underdogs, winning 23-17.
The Rams will definitely be without Puka Nacua, Steve Avila and Darious Williams on Sunday, as all three are on injured reserve, and there’s a possibility Cooper Kupp will miss this game, too, after injuring his ankle. He was spotted wearing a walking boot after the loss to Arizona.
An 0-3 start would be devastating for the Rams’ playoff chances, so they need a win in the worst way possible.
