When the college football season began, Ohio State was No. 2 and Oregon was No. 3. Things have changed just a bit after most teams have played three games of the season or a quarter of the season.
USA TODAY ventured a task to re-rank all 134 Division I teams to see how different the poll is after the one-quarter mark, the Big Ten Conference is still the best conference in the land with four teams in the Top 12 and five teams in the Top 25.
Once the conference season gets in full swing next week, no doubt things will change as the Big Ten will start to pick each other off. What’s interesting is that the mighty SEC isn’t all that mighty this season as Georgia looks vulnerable after escaping Kentucky with a 13-12 win and LSU could easily be 1-2, but they weaseled out of Columbia, SC with a 36-33 win over the Gamecocks.
Here is where all 18 Big Ten teams now rank after three games of the year have been played.
