Barely any experts taking Rams to beat 49ers

It’s 49ers week for the Los Angeles Rams, which means a battle is brewing on Sunday. Unfortunately, what’s usually a game full of superstars and playmakers will be lacking them due to injuries suffered by both teams.

Even with Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel out, as well as possibly George Kittle and Charvarius Ward, experts are still leaning heavily toward the 49ers in this matchup.

According to Tallysight, a whopping 96% of experts are picking the 49ers to beat the Rams. It’s slightly better when factoring in the spread where the Rams are getting between 6.5 and 7.5 points, but only 35% of experts are taking them to cover the spread as underdogs.

It’s expected to be a low-scoring game compared to the projected total, too. Of those who have submitted picks on the over/under, 67% are picking the under at 44.5 points.

This game is not a favorable one for the Rams. San Francisco is running the ball well even without McCaffrey, and Los Angeles has not be able to stop anyone on the ground through two weeks. The 49ers’ pass rush is still one of the best in football and with the injuries the Rams have suffered on the offensive line, Matthew Stafford could be under heavy pressure again.

It’s hardly surprising to see the 49ers being heavily favored by experts in this game.
